Expectations Of Postgame Pub Staff

• Keep your forums active: It's your forum, so do what you can to keep it active. One suggestion might be to PM members with a link to a thread you think they might be interested in and ask them what they think. I think the current staff can attest to the fact that this issue is #1 on my list (sometimes I am anal about it, sorry in advance). Being a moderator means you have made a commitment to help the site and keep your forums active. If for whatever reason you are going to have an extended leave please contact an admin or post it in the Staff Forum
• Uphold board rules: We don't have many rules on the site but on occasion we do have to remind people when they do break them. It also would be a good idea to post about it in the Staff Hangout so other mods can chip in with suggestions on how to handle the situation.
• Moderating of Posts: Do not delete threads, instead just move them to the Recycle Bin if you absolutely have to. Deleting of threads is not allowed. Only Admins are allowed to do so. The only time we edit a thread or a post is when something in the thread is either illegal, pornographic or if someone is spamming the site. Merging threads is allowed when multiple threads of the same subject are posted.
• All admin issues are kept private: Anything discussed in this forum stays in this forum. Anything discussed in any mod chats stays there. Being a mod means we trust you. A breach of trust is something that is not taken lightly. We have had issues with it in the past and it can be a very divisive situation when it does happen.
• Conflicts with other staff members: If for whatever reason you have a conflict with another mod, please try to keep it in this forum or in PM's. This way we are a solid front to the members and no trolls see a chance to divide the staff.
• Have fun in your forum! Interact with the members, come up with fun topics, and feel free to try out ideas you think will help boost member's interest in your forum. I am always open to try new ideas that will help the site out.

The application will then be posted in the staff forum and the site staff would vote.

Once a member is approved he will be put on board as a moderator for a 30 day trial period. After the 30 days the site's staff will again vote to keep the member on as a permanent mod.

That's why the application is here for anyone interested to apply. Instead of asking people, I think people should come to us if they are interested because you then know that they more then likely to be committed in being a mod.

Also the applicants should let chubz know what forum they are interested in so they can be sure to add Mod to forums they have a general interest it.

thanks PJ. I'm glad you recommended that I check out the PGP, this place is great. Would love to help out anyway I can and wouldn't mind being a mod on here. The real test for me is going to be whether or not I'll be able to regularly post and balance out a work load once the school semester starts in less than 2 weeks. Maybe I'll fill out an application after Labor Day so we can really use the trial period to get a feel of when and how often I'm free. I usually have plenty of down time, but I would say wait until then to check it out, right now I'm just a bum on summer vaca.

I bumped this thread up again, we are actively looking for a few mods for the forums, if you think you can commit a little time daily to help us out and make this forum grow, please read the first post and fill out the application, everyone that applies and is chosen will be on a 30 day trial to see if you can successfully do the job and if both the staff and member are on the same page if we are you will then come a permanent Mod.

I recommend Kent who has a wide variety of knowledge of sports. And he has been actively participating in many discussions. He also has the most important quality that I look for in a candidate for moderator duties and that is respect. He is very respectful of other peoples opinions which is crucial on this site and in life. And I just feel that he can put in some time to be a good active moderator.
