Opinions on switching to a Portal Content main page - The Postgame Pub

Alot of other forums use a portal page opposed to using the regular forumhome page as its main page. There are tons of options using a Portal Content main page. You can spotlight certain threads, blogs, news stories etc. I think it could this forum a more complete look.

Well it's your site, you can do whatever you want with it.

I don't have a problem with the forums being the main portal.
