shortly after his surprising loss, (that i think was a fix) Kimbo Slice is starting to get the criticism, i think this ends the money train that is Kimbo Slice,

i could see if he lost to ken shamrock...or lasted more than 14 seconds....he didnt even get really beat up...i think it was worse for the sport than it was for him..

and if his name wasnt Kimbo Slice no one would care...if his name was Ben Jones he would just be another fighter....

He went to Bethune Cookman college which is a predominantly black college, he went there for football. I just thought it was curious because its like 10 mins from my school.

see another thing that i just dont get...he is an image not an icon...the guy went to college, and yet he is portrayed as this bum street fighter.....like i said...if his name was ben jones no one would care about him...

His 15 minutes of fame might not be over yet, but Elite XC's is getting there now that they don't have their big gun going strong for them. Unless he can turn it around and start a winning streak that is, because every fighter usually loses at least once. They need to strike up a merger deal with Affliction so they can get Fedor and Arlovski.

I don't wanna be the guy that is caught up in the phenomenon and just likes Kimbo no matter what, but I truly believe he was illegally struck in the back of the head by Petruzelli.

The only thing that matters is that we are talking about him. If he were non-existant, we wouldnt be talking about this or Elite Xc. If he makes us talk about it, than he must be doing something right and making his money. Idk why so many people want to see him fail......

well people talk about pee wee herman and that doesnt mean he is making money and benefiting from it.....

i think as long as XC has Gina Carano they will be afloat....i would watch that babe fight any time

He does make money when we talk about him, because he gets publicized due to it. The only reason 90% of people know who he is, is because people over-hype the guy like he's indestructible and then people see his fights and he is laying people out. Just like that E:60 episode on him, its like a snowball effect.

actually we dont have to pay royalties for just talking about someone...and either does TV, Magazines or any other media outlet.....

and what we are saying about him isnt the best publicity

Ok, for scenario purposes; If im addicted to fighting and boxing, I am going to want to watch this guy because I have seen that he destroys people and because people tell me that he's great. I am going to believe what people say because I haven't seen him before. Just like Gina Carano, people say shes hot, you go on youtube and check it out and then you might want to go see her live and then you will be paying money for the tickets.

on the other hand...i will not watch him because he just got jacked up in 14 seconds by some no name guy......its not worth my time....so it goes both ways.....

and not all bad publicity is good publicity, some times it is all bad.....their is a backside to both of our arguments

Yea I understand where your coming from as well. Im not going to pay and see him fight, but others will and it will based off that hype.
