Im actually excited to see this fight. I think Mayweather will win the fight by decision. I do think DLH has a chance if he cand land some power punches.

Mayweather is just a bad man right now. I think De La Hoya has been over the hill for years. If he wouldnt have cought Julio Ceasar Chavez at such an old age his career would never have even gotten off the ground to the extent that it has.

Mayweather wins by decision. What I dont get is why DLH didnt stick to the jab more. Mayweather is a counterpuncher, and like Teddy Atlas said, a counter puncher can counter a long jab from the outside. When DLH was throwing thsoe jabs, he controlled the fight. When he didnt, he walked right into Mayweather's game plan.

I heard the fight could have gone any direction....
but Boxing said they are trying to revive the sport and they were hoping this would be the fight to do so... So what do they do? They put it on HBO PPV. That was dumb. Put that mofo on Fox... get people back into the sport first.

Nothing really outdoes the atmosphere of a bigtime boxing fight
it also appears that mayweather has indeed announced he will retire |

When it comes to excitement, yes. But boxers are still getting paid ridiculous amounts of money, and still do well in PPV department. Not as much as UFC, yearly, but, a single hyped up boxing match has the PPV record for single PPV buys.
