Do you guys agree of this unofficial list of ESPN's top athletes? http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2...whosnow/070611 , I think Randy Couture needs to be there too he's a good mixed martial art artist. He is also a UFC champ and legend! I think he'll be the best representative of the sport.

He is one of very few athletes to win a championship after becoming a Hall of Fame member. Lets all cast out votes so that the likes of Randy Couture will be on the list and to make the list more believable and not just some popularity contest!

Randy Couture is a legend, and above all, a top athlete - on so many levels.

He is great for the sport. He has been in MMA way before it was ever popular, and way before he was making any real $. He has the heart of a lion, has only been KO'd by Chuck Liddell (Even at Heavy Weight fighting the likes of Rizzo, Barnett, Randleman, etc) during his entire career. Randy has showcased his talent time and time again, creating massive PPV sales and generating a HUGE fan base and making MMA more "main stream" and/or "acceptable." He has done so much for the sport, and will continue to do so for many years to come.

Randy Couture is the fucking man, and was once a HW champion, once a LHW champion, and now the current UFC HW Champion.

He deserves so much

In addition to that, Couture even started his own foundation helping GI’s…and last time I checked, most major athletes help little more than helping themselves to a diamond studded Lamborghini. He is truly an ultimate sports star!

I just found out that Randy Couture together with Rampage have been nominated for best fighter at ESPY.

I hope Couture would make it also to the list of top 32 athletes too!:cool:

Im wishing i can nominate Micheal Jordan but i know that's impossible but I can't stand Kobe! So I'd rather shift from the NBA to UFC and vote for Randy Couture instead coz the guy is a terrific mma. There are very few (if not none at all) who can win a championship after becoming a Hall of Fame member like Randy. The guy is awesome!

Very true. Randy just carries him self like a true warrior/champion. VERY few have half the class and fighting "mind" as Couture. He is an MMA legend, and will go down in the Hall of Fames for sure. Capturing a HW title, then capturing a LHW title in an era where Chuck Liddell, Vitor Belfort, Tito Ortiz, were all in that division is simply amazing. And then to be the much smaller man against the 6'8 Tim Sylvia and completely dominate him for 5 5 minute rounds, amazing. Simply amazing.
