Second good card in a row for UFC.
The bisping vs. hamil fight was I feel closer than alot of other people think. Hamil got round 1, bisping got round 3, and round 2 could have gone either way. With how Bisping was getting stronger as the fight got on and Hamil was gassing I think they gave it to the guy who finished the fight strongest. Alexander is fun to watch, but I wonder how he will do in a fight against someone with a good ground game or in a fight that goes past the first minute or two. Still was a great KO and he is cool guy. Cro-cop is finished. He just cant change his game from Pride / K-1 and wilts when someone imposes their will on him. Too bad because he was alot of fun to watch. Was his contract for 3 or 5 fights? I would like to see him vs. Arlovski or Silvia. Rampage is the man. Henderson is also a stud but Rampage is just naturally too big for him and it showed as the fight went on. I really hope Hendo goes down to 185 because his style vs. A. Silva would be a ton of fun to watch and I think Hendo would be the champ for quite a while. Rampage's style is perfect for the UFC and him against Rua would be HUGE. Light HW is ridiculously stacked right now. |

Mirko stated in his post fight interviews that his rib was broke after the 1st round. That is why he won the 1st, but then practically gave up on the 2nd and 3rd. He also said that the knees to the groin didn't help his pain/stamina at all either. It sucks to lose like that, but a loss is a loss.
Hamil/Bisping,straight up, I give the win to Hamil. But hey, that is what the judges are for I guess. Rampage looked impressive, I figured he would win via 5 round decision. Alexander does need to step up now and fight some TOP competition, you're right. I'd like to see him against maybe Tito, or Wanderlei Silva. |
