Default MMA -UFC 76: Knockout

Another great card for us MMA fans on Saturday, Sept 22.

Chuck Liddell will be fighting against Keith Jardine.

Also, 2 new fighters acquired from PRIDE will make their UFC debut:

The PRIDE 2005 MWGP champion, Mauricio "Shogun" Rua, will be fighting fan favorite Forrest Griffin.

And Kazuhiro Nakamura will be making his debut against Machida.

And, don't forget Thiago Tavares Vs. Tyson Griffin, Jon Fitch Vs. Diego Sanchez, and Wilson Gouveia Vs. Jason Lambert.

These should all make for yet another great MMA fight card.

The best fight was the Griffin vs. Shogun fight in my opinion. Griffin had that fight the whole time, starting early in the second round. Shogun gave his back to Griffin so many times, I've lost count. I do think the rules really hurt Shogun as he was no longer allowed to use jumping stomps which is part of his game. I am sure Shogun will come back strong.

Diego Sanchez needs to move a weight division down. He isn't going any where if he stays in the welterweight class.

I think its about time that Chuck retires, He wasnt fighting the same at all. All he had to do was counter off those overhand rights and watch out for those kicks. Throughout the fight, I didn't really see much of Chuck throwing any kicks at all in which was apart of his style.

I went to the show... gr8 event minus the idiotic fans who had no knowledge of the sport. It's better to just order the show in HD at the crib.

You went to the actual show? Nice man. How was it? Did you get to take any pictures?

What was your favorite fight?

I agree with most of your post.

Griffin vs Shogun was great, I also liked Machida vs Nakamura too.

Chuck either needs to start becoming more well rounded and try takedowns, GnP, etc or he will be done for. MMA is evolving now.

And Diego should drop to 155, I agree.
