Yea thats going to be a great match. Does anyone know if Sagnol is playing? He's a very good midfielder for France.

Glad Italy could muster up that answer goal one minute after Romania scored to get at least the tie. Italy's defense seems back to it's old self, and Buffon was spectacular on that penalty kick. Is it me or does it seem like there were some non-calls there for Italy? W/e, the France match should be a good one.

At the end, you mean?

Italy tried to replicate the previous foul against them that lead to a PK for Romania, but it was blatantly obvious to the referees.

well giving Romania a PK was questionable in itself, and of course the disallowed goal on the header by Luca

That Italy - Romania match looked like it should have had a ton of goals. Of course the called back Italy goal in extra time hurt them, but I was stunned at their ability to get in the box time and time again. Romania certainly is a bit lucky that their goalkeep was on today.

I'm a little confused now, maybe someone can help me out. Let's say Netherlands beat France now (score is 3-1). The standings in Group C will be as follows:

Netherlands, 2-0-0, 6 pts (automatically advance)
Romania, 0-0-2, 2 pts
France, 0-1-1, 1 pt
Italy, 0-1-1, 1 pt

Head to head is the first tie breaker in the tournament, and both Italy and France tied Romania. Will the winner of Italy-France need Romania to lose to the Netherlands? And will the number of goals matter?
