Sonics to leave Seattle
Being from Seattle I hate this move. I can't imagine Seattle not having a pro basketball team. Stern said that if we lose them then we won't be getting another one. They may actually be gone after this season.

I am surised Seattle has no NHL or AFL team either.
I think as much as a sports fan as i am....We The People have to take a stand against these leagues and teams expecting this tax money as ransom or else they move.

Well go to the ESPN message boards and look everywhere there are A TON of links. Supposedly Schultz the man who sold the Sonics to Bennett is sueing back to get his team under the argument that "Bennett said he would do everything in his power to keep the Sonics in town." Everybody knows that is bullshit. Bennett never acted in "good faith" to keep the team there and when someone came up with an idea for 150 million renovation to Key Arena that would help parking and what not instead of the 500 million dollar new facility that Bennett wanted 400 million of payed from taxpayers he refused to take the lesser offer.
I think in the end everything will come out and the Sonics will stay in Seattle AND Oklahoma City will get an expansion team as will another city. Moving the NBA to the NFL division format.

PLEASE let this happen. Im from Seattle and I always keep an eye on the Sonics. Hopefully we can pull it off. Im at the point where Im becoming a bigger Seattle fan then the Bulls. Unloyal I know....:( but if my hometown can keep them Ill be very happy.

I'm not a Sonics fan but I truely hope they stay in Seattle. Gary Payton's jersey deserves to hang in Seattle, not Oklahoma City.
