I would never leave the NBA if it was me but 50 mill a year?!!? If they offer that, then its going to be insane! Lebron has some decisions to make!

Lebrons shits 50 mill. Anyone that actually thinks he will leave the nba to go across seas needs to get their head checked. There is0 chance of Lebron leaving the league, ZERO

Yeah the Euro leagues with no cap restrictions etc could make some run at alot more Childress type players. But you wont see any top tier best player on their team guys bolt. Some people still love the game and the comeptition factor. And for some of the major NBA talents the euro league is and would be a joke for them to play in.
The euro league is for the talent that isnt quite good enough for the nab guys that went to college and were undrafted here.

Well, I can't say I expected it, but were right about the issue getting bigger Darius.
LeBron James would consider an offer of $50 million a year or more. WHO THE HELL WOULDN'T TAKE 50 MILLION BUCKS A YEAR??? http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=3520860 |

$50 mill. a year? Not an athlete on this planet worth that IMO. But if he gets it, more power to him. He would be a fool to turn it down.

I wouln't call him a fool.... Its a ton of money yes, but he already has a ton of money. Overseas he cannot win, NBA titles, NBA MVP Awards, Break NBA records, establish a legendary career like the alltime greats....
Those are things that Lebron wants to do in his career. Now I don't see him giving those things up. If he goes, he will be rich, but his legend over the years will die out. Nobody remembers the all time great EURO players. I dont care how good you are. This is America and to be mentioned with the likes of Jordan-Magic-Bird, you must win here in this country, in the best league in the world. Now I was thinking about it, and he just may do something like this- Leave in 2010 when he is 25 for two seasons. That would pocket him a cool 100 mill and then come back to the NBA at 27. I still don't see that happening but its possible. I also don't see him being offered 50 million for one season. |

I beg to differ. He would be a fool to turn that down. Maybe he is not like most and NBA titles and MVP's are not what is important to him. Maybe his life revolves around money and money only. You never know...

Is that Euro dollars? Aren't they at 1.6 the equivalent of a USD? Isn't it also tax free money? So he would be looking at $80 mil, tax free per year? I would think for anybody that would be very hard to turn down. He's young and has a long time to win MVPs and Titles. |

I believe in total with the Euro bonus it would be around 50 mill. But this is still speculation. Nobody has offered anywhere near that much money. All this is because someone threw out the question of what if...
