Every Sunday when you sit to watch Sunday Night Football, you have the pleasure of hearing the color commentary of the former great football coach John Madden. More than likely you will hear at least one of his now famous "Maddenisms"

What are your favorite John Madden quotes? Or as I like to call him "Captain Obvious" Here's some of mine:

John Madden when referring to Troy Aikmen losing his contact lens in a game: "Here's a guy, that when he wears his contacts, he sees better."

"When you lose your best cornerback and your punt returner, I'd say that's a double loss."

"You never want to go backwards in the endzone."

"You see John Lynch there staring at Martin Grammatica? He doesn't even speak English and doesn't know what he's saying."

“When your arm gets hit, the ball is not going to go where you want it to.”

During a MNF game when they panned up and showed the full moon, and madden said "Can you believe a cow jumped over that thing?"

"He would have scored a touchdown if he hadn't been tackled right there"

A few years ago on Monday Night Football during a Seattle game, Al Micheals made a comment about all of the new uniform colors and Madden's response: "Heck, I don't understand it all. The Seahawks changed their color combinations and still aren't playing worth a hoot."
