If he couldnt handle Brett Favre and the rest of that team, Cleveland should just be a pitt stop

A good fit. The Browns defense is VERY similar to the Jets, and even runs the same scheme. I think he can get this team back to being a contender, given the proper development of Brady Quinn. They need a running back, and have a great draft pick to do so.

As I told Chubz already, good for Mangini.
The Browns are in a rebuilding effort, so we'll see how he does. The draft is going to be huge for that team, where they have a very good chance of getting Crabtree with the #5 overall pick. |

Edwards isn't going anywhere, especially with the status of Jurevicius being up in the air. Believe it, or not, he actually did make a connection with Quinn.
Week 10 (Quinn's debut): 1 reception for 15 yards Week 11: 8 receptions for 104 yards Week 12 (Quinn went down in the 3rd quarter): 5 receptions for 85 yards And yes, they need a RB. Lewis will suffice for now, though; I blame his lack of production this past season mostly on his offensive line. |

Crabtree wouldn't really fit in Cleveland, as they're pretty set at the WR position, especially with Cribbs developing even more and more as a receiver.

I think they need more help on the defensive side of the ball and along the O-line, maybe even a RB. I think they have enough offensive firepower and can look to fill other holes.

I say that they either take Crabtree, Jenkins, or Curry with their first pick.
Can't see them taking one of the top OTs that are coming out. Last edited by Crono139; 01-07-2009 at 11:40 PM.. |

They've been in rebuilding mode since the end of the '99 season. I like this choice better than going out and promoting another coordinator or hiring a college head coach. They need a solid running back worse than they need Micheal Crabtree. I'm not taking anything away from Crabtree, but Cleveland already has pretty good talent at wide reciever. Jamal Lewis has had his day, but his age is starting to catch up with him. I say use the draft for the O-Line or defense and pick up a solid running back in free agency.

Complete staff overhaul now, though.
I don't know about all that. Edwards, and Winslow will do their usual. Jurevicius's knee is done for, even though he swears that he'll be back. Stallworth is going to be cut because of his upcoming roster bonus, and serious lack of production. They still haven't found a way to use Cribbs yet. Mangini's going to be fired soon. The Browns hired former Raiders d-coordinator Rob Ryan to their coaching staff.

Why would you even consider hiring Rob Ryan in the first place? the most successful of the Ryan twins is Rex, and he's with Baltimore. Romeo would have been a better choice at D-Coordinator than Ryan. But then again, the Browns are a Joke. It's hard to believe THIS Browns team would even share history with the *good* Browns.
