The wings have never had a Lemeuix, Gretzkey, Crosby or Malkin. As for Detroit being better... they only have more stanley cups that does not make them a better hockey team. Fuck the wings!!!!

big name players means alot?????i think the 11 cups speak for themselves, and lets not forget about the pens going bankrupt about 10 years ago....

points aside, hats off to them....they won a huge game in our house and i commend them...malkin was a stud..

crosby on the other hand.......way to be a leader and ignore the hand shakes until the line is already through....way to set an example

I think the Wings have been guilty of not wanting to pay for big name players but toward the end of their career they will offer big name players a short term discount contract for a better chance of winning a cup.

Eithe way...The pens came from 2 games down to send the Wings home with no cup. I couldn't watch the game because i was a Bonnaroo but either way...i'm here to be sure you and the rest of the fair weather wings fans have your tampons handy lol!!!!

you cant be a fair weather wings fan when you live here..i have always been a fan of the wings...

and the wings havent had to go out and pay the big name players big bucks because players take pay cuts just to come here...Yzerman took several pay cuts, Federov was the big name that didnt, and he later said that he regretted not taking the cut to stay...right now the wings have the 2nd best one, two punch with Datsyk and Zetterberg (behind Crosby and Malkin) not to mention the best defensman in the league (Lidstrom). oh and Datsyk is the best 2 way player in the leauge....so big names aside, the wings have always stacked their teams with talent on every line...i wouldnt be surprised if the Pens and the wings meet yet again next year....that is if Detroit can round up a good goalie because i think osgood is retiring...

that's where the Pens are lucky, MA Flury is still a young guy and so long as he can stay healty we have a great core group of players to be the next NHL dynasty.

oh yea their is no doubting that, i mean the red wings are getting older and some of the young players are a few years away from being impact players.....i would not be surprised to see the pens win another cup within the next 2 years

we lost a few good D over the past few weeks but we have some young guys from the baby penguins that will hopefully step up.

Looks like we could have another good season!

Lets hope Malkin and Crosby can both have an injury free season and we may see more records broken.
