Anyone ever get more than one offer at a time? I was 17-6 2.95 ERA as the Marlin ACE in the last year of my deal. Only the Marlins made me an offer and no other team. I end up signing for 1 year 14.5 million with the Red Sox as their ACE. After the year (18-4, 2.81 ERA WON THE CY), samething only one offer from my current team and no one else. This sounds like a glicth to me. Anyone else?

I'm still in AA with my pitcher, however, I have done everything I can to stay with the braves including turning down big offers. Sort of die hard i guess. |

So far i've thrown 4 complete games and one of them was one hitter against the Yankees. I could have had another Complete game shutout earlier today. But the guy decided to quit on me in his last three at bats.

Now you can make that five Complete games for me.
![]() The starting pitcher i used was Ricky Nolasco from the Marlins. I gave up only 1 ER, 5 hits and had 15 k's against someone online using the Yankees. |

Have you ever thrown a complete game in the road to the show mode? You can't just leave your guy in there for nine innings, it's all up to the manager. They pulled me in the ninth with one out and a 4 run lead, and I hadn't even thrown 100 pitches! However, I simulated a game with AAA richmond and much to my suprise it was a complete game shutout. I got almost 500 points for that one and all I did was simulate. Now when I simulate I don't even come close to that lol. |

I have thrown countless complete games in rtts mode and one no hitter. I am a right handed pitcher with a 4sfb, ch, cb, 2sfb, and splitter. I follow a specific pattern.
-the first time through the lienup to righties pitch 1 is a 2sfb down and in. Pitch 2 is a curve away. then i go low and away with the change untill they wiff (which happens 90% of the time) -the First time through the lineup to lefties i throw pitch 1 a 4sfb up and in. Pitch 2 is a cirv away, and put them away with a low and away change. -Second time through the order i throw changeups to every hitter down and away for a strike (they will most likely wiff, take it, or foul it off) The next pitch is a 4sfb, and the putaway is the split to lefties and 2sfb down and in to righties. -Third time through i throw a spit down and in to start of every hitter for a strike. then i throw a 4sfb up and in to lefties and a 2sfb down and in to righties for a strike. after that i take my shot low and away with the change till they wiff - fourth time through all bets are off. I throw the pitch i am most confortable with and have the most confidence in, no matter what if i get a 2 strike count i will always go low and outside with the change. The funny thing about this game is that if you have 80 pitches in the 9th they will take you out if you allow a baserunner. this applies to all late inning (7 and on) Your pitch count doesn't matter (as long as its not outragously high). This is why you get taken out in late inning with low pitch counts. Hope i helped Last edited by metsforlife; 09-02-2008 at 02:26 AM. Reason: spelling |

Yea all this stuff should apply. Go get 'em tiger! Q. I have increased the velocity on my 4 seamer to max, but for some reason my circle change is now like 86-88mph!! I have absolutely no velocity on my circle change as far as attributes go. WHY IS THIS! Also, can someone please tell me how to change the pitching view from the mound to the catcher? I've found a terrible bug. Hopefully someone here can suggest a workaround. A little explanation first: I play franchise mode by playing out all the games for one pitcher and running the rest on sportcast manager so I can run through seasons quickly and try to develop a previously bad franchise. Sometimes I'll intervene late in a game to either close the game out or try for a late comeback. It seems that now everytime I enter the game and engineer a late inning comeback the game freezes at a specific point in the between innings animation. I've tried both "x"ing through the animation and letting the whole thing play. If I try to x the sequence it jumps straight to that one point in the animation it freezes at if I let it play out.
I know that I could just not intervene in the game but that really detracts from the game because of the way I like to play. |
