Alright, bitches. Here's what went down.


Arrived at my friend's house at about 11:30PM. It's raining somewhat heavily with the occasional lightning, and thunder strikes. I had to park about a block down because there were quite a bit of cars parked near his house. On my walk there, I see a girl in a white hoodie walking towards me on the opposite side of the street. I thought it was the soulmate, but wasn't 100% sure so I didn't say anything.

I walk into my friend's backyard, and head up onto the deck. Handshakes to the people that I knew, and even to some that I didn't know. I make my way to the cooler to grab a beer, then I move to the area near the deck stairs where three of my good friends are (the host of the party, the person turning 21, and one of my old co-workers). I start talking, and joking around with them for a bit. All of a sudden, I see that girl in the white hoodie open up the gate, and head towards me once again. Her initial impression was . Yup, you guessed it... the soulmate.

Her: "Hey, you!"
Me: "What's up?"
Her: "Nothing much. What took you so long to get here?"
Me: "I was stuck at work until 10."
Her: "Ah, that's pretty beat."

She gave me a long hug, and ended it with a kiss on my cheek. My old co-worker was trashed, so he kept telling me to kiss her on the lips instead, but I told him fuck off. She then put her arm around me, and pulled me closer to her.

Her: "Soulmate."
Me: "What's up?"
Her: "Where have you been? I haven't seen you in forever."
Me: "I don't know... around, I guess."

That part of the conversation was broken up at that point by random friends asking me something, etc. I walked around for a bit after that, and then ended up near the deck stairs again. I'm standing on the middle step, and the soulmate sneaks up behind me, and puts her arm around me again.

Me: "So how have you been?"
Her: "Alright. How about you?"
Me: "Eh, hanging in there."

My co-worker friend butted in again, and asked when I finished school, yada yada yada.

Her: "You'll be done next semester?"
Me: "Yup. I can't wait."
Her: "That's awesome. You'll have a real job soon, and then be pulling in the big bucks."
Me: "I hope so."

I could have asked how her college life was going, or just about anything else, but those questions didn't even run through my head. A little while later, she told me she was leaving, and then asked if she could get a hug. I said, "Sure, why not?", and that was when we said our goodbyes.

One thing that did run through my head was to ask her to hang out (because of her saying she hasn't seen me in forever), but I've been turned down once already, so the hell with that.

I would be pissed off if some girl called me soulmate and kept calling me that after she rejected me.

Its like "If I'm your soulmate, then why don't you accept my date?" Its prolly just a little nickname to mess around, oh well. Good luck and don't waste your time on her.
